You will be creating your own physical features map of the United States. You may use the blank map below or one of your choosing to do this assignment. You may do it completely on the computer, using a graphics program like Microsoft Paint, or you may print out your map, compete it and scan it to be turned in.
1. Find a map to use (digital or print out a paper copy)
2. Look up other physical features maps and see what types of symbols are used for the various features. Decide which you’re going to use on your map
3. Add the appropriate physical characteristics. Be sure to include a key and to label each feature. Be creative and colorful.
4. If the map is done by hand, scan and save it to the computer. Be sure you scanned it right side up and that the scan can be read.
