The us dairy industry sustainability commitment report documented that the united states was the largest dairy producer in the world. it also identified that the dairy industry contributed of the total us ghg emissions. working with the sustainability center at the university of arkansas, the innovation center conducted the dairy industry’s first national ghg life cycle analysis (lca), or carbon footprint study, of fluid milk.

This is related to a Greenhouse Gases Emissions Report published by the "Innovation Center for US Dairy" in 2010, which was a multy-party effort to identify and determine good and sustainable business practices; the study found that aproximatelly 190 billion pounds of milk produced by USA dairy industry (the largest worldwide), contributed to a 2% of the total US GHG emissions. Thus the answer is "two percent".
