World war II made the colonies fight for independence because of lack of military support and finances needed to colonies and suppress the colonies.

After the world war II end, in the year 1945, the colonists could not suppress the colonies which were earlier under the control of British because there was no finances left to control the colonies and more over there was loss of support on the grounds of politics.

The United States had grown as a super power which was not possible to be controlled anymore and moreover the colonies had started going against the British and fighting for independence.

if one generalizes (and one shouldn't), equity partnerships, which is probably what is implied by interdependence, can be slow to progress or change but durable. the extreme alternative, independent-dependent partnerships tend to be efficient but more fragile.
