Explanation:  Feeling of disconnected thoughts, feelings, memory and even loss or diminished sense of identity is a mental disorder called disassociation. It can occur as a consequence of surviving trauma, and occurs as a separation of thoughts, feelings, identities, and perceptions, which should function as a whole. Amnesia can sometimes be a consequence of this disorder.  Due to the trauma surviving, the person suffering from this disorder separates the memory of a certain place related to the trauma from the event itself, or the time of the event, circumstances, in the mental processes and thus trying to reduce the effect of the trauma that causing pain, suffering, etc.
