The birth of Zeus/Ancient Greek myth  

Kron was not sure that the power will remain in his hands forever. He feared that children would be raised against him and that he would be brought to the same fate as his father Uranus. He was afraid of his children. Then Kron commanded his wife to bring him, newborn children, for swallowed them. Ray came to horror, seeing the fate of his children. Already five have swallowed children by father: Hestia, Demeter, Geru, Aida (Gadis) and Poseidon.

Ray didn't want to lose her last child. On the advice of her parents, she left for the island of Crete, and there, in a deep cave, was born to her youngest son Zeus. In this cave, Rhea hid his son from a cruel father, and he was given to swallow a long stone, wrapped in diapers instead of his son. Kron did not suspect that he had been deceived by his wife.
