The religions of Judaism and Islam are more alike than different. Both of these major religions are considered to be  monotheistic, or believe in one supreme deity. Islam and Judaism both originated in the Middle East. They also both believe that messengers, or prophets, received the word of the Almighty God. Both religions also have a written religious texts that are adhered to by their followers. In Islam, their followed religious text is the Qu’ran. In Judaism, the Torah is the religious text read by their followers.
