Research conducted by collins and porras (2002) highlights the importance of establishing and committing to an ideology comprised of two parts: (1) core values; (2) a core purpose. in my personal experience it seems easier to define a core ideology than to live it consistently.

Core values and core purposes are the parts of ideology but one is the ladder to move on towards the other but you keep going on for its perfection.

Core values work as a ladder or bridge to keep you going on towards your core purpose of your ideology. Until you reach to your core purpose it is necessary to follow core values. If you don't follow the values one can forget the way to reach up to core purpose. Core purpose is a broader component of ideology.

Its an ideology which determines to set a core purpose to live a purposeful life either it is organizational life or personal. I agree it is easy to set an ideology. It is ideology who makes you strong enough and makes you able to compete with others and give you success if you follow your core values and keep a core purpose in your mind.
