My research focuses on people who are in need. my research has always been done with the intent to improve the lives of the poor, immigrants, and other disadvantaged groups. in fact, i have never held a teaching position because i am devoted to people in the community. i am the only sociologist to ever win a nobel peace prize.

Jane Adams was the first American lady to be granted the Nobel Peace Prize. She established the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom in 1919, and worked for a long time to get the colossal forces to incapacitate and close peace understandings.  

In the USA, Jane Addams attempted to encourage poor people and to stop the utilization of youngsters as mechanical workers. She ran Hull House in Chicago, a middle which helped workers specifically.
