When alma compares the word to a seed what is the first step he gives for nourishing our faith?

Alma compares the word of God to  a seed, and teaches people how to receive the word of God and increase their faith and says that the 'desire to believe' as the first  step to receive and nourish our faith and testimony in the word of God daily (Alma 32.27)
