Sonja Lyubomirsky of the University of California, being gloomy also has a positive side and not just the negative side. In her work, she explains that gloomy persons have the upper hand over the happy people when it comes to being impatient. She also explained that being too happy can have severe consequences too in as much as it has great rewards. One of the consequences being bipolar disorders which leads to personal and social misjudgements.
