Thinking about Newton’s First Law. Why does a water powered rocket come back down?
a
The rocket would like to keep on going, but gravity is an unbalanced force that pulls it down.
b
Things are lazy, and the rocket does not want to go anywhere.
c
The parachute that is on the rocket has a large enough area to make it stay in the air
d
There is not enough fuel in the rocket. Despite balanced forces, it has to come down.

Assume you measured the mass of the cart to be (500 ± 1) g and the mass of the additional mass you put on the cart to be (500 ± 1) g as well. since the scale you are using in the lab cannot measure objects heavier than 600g you will have to sum up individual pieces and propagate the error. so what would be the mass and the standard error of the cart and the mass
