a) Apply Newton's second law to calculate the tension in the rope
b) Calculate the speed of the ball as it rotates around the pole.
c) As the ball passes one of the players, the player slaps the ball to exert a force on the direction in which the ball was moving. Explain why the angle between the rope and the vertical increases.
