A solid spherical conductor is concentric with a hollow spherical conductor as shown below. The radius of the solid conductor is r = 5.0 cm, and the hollow conductor has inner and outer radii of 2r
and 3r, respectively. The magnitude of the electric field created by these conductors has the same
value (15,000 N/C) at points a and b, but the field at these points is in opposite directions, as shown
in the diagram. Point a is 2.0 cm inward from the inner surface of the outer conductor, and point b
is 2.0 cm outward from the outer surface of the hollow conductor.
