Your goal is to find the displacement equation describing both boats in each situation below. For this, you will need to identify the amplitude, frequency and wavelength of the waves entering the harbor. For each situation, calculate the maximum vertical velocity, maximum acceleration of the boats, and find the speed at which the waves are traveling. 1) Two boats are anchored in the harbor, separated by a horizontal distance of 30m. The boats bob up and down as the waves enter the harbor. When the 1st boat is at its highest point, the 2nd is at its lowest point and there is one wave crest between them. Each boat makes exactly 3 complete up-and-down cycles every 18s. The vertical distance between a boat’s highest and lowest point is 3.8m.

Consider a uniformly charged ring in the xy plane, centered at the origin. the ring has radius a and positive charge qdistributed evenly along its circumference. a)what is the direction of the electric field at any point on the z axis? . b)what is the magnitude of the electric field along the positive z axis? use k in your answer, where k=14πϵ0. d)the ball will oscillate along the z axis between z=d and z=−d in simple harmonic motion. what will be the angular frequency ω of these oscillations? use the approximation d≪a to simplify your calculation; that is, assume that d2+a2≈a2. express your answer in terms of given charges, dimensions, and constants
