A person, with a mass of 100 Kg and an unknown height, throws a 0.3 Kg football so that it is released at the same level as the top of his head. After he releases the football, it flies high into the air, peaking at a height of 2.4 meters, then comes down and impacts the ground(assume same level as where his feet are). A radar gun records the velocity of the football as it leaves his hand, 12.5 m/s, and also as it reaches its peak, giving out a reading of 12 m/s. What is the total energy of the ball/earth system, in joules?

What is the Potential Energy Gravity of the football as it is being released, in joules?

What is the height of the football player, in meters?

What is the Kinetic Energy of the football, in m/s, the instant it is about to impact the ground(but not actually slowing down from the ground yet)?

What is the velocity of the football, in m/s, the instant it is about to impact the ground(but not actually slowing down from the ground yet)?

You notice a very one-dimensional-thinking snail crawling along one rail of a railroad track. naturally, you remove it to a safer place. but before you do, you observe it as it moves from position xi = -92.9 cm to position xf = -64.9 cm along the rail, as measured from a point where one rail abuts the next. what is the snail\'s displacement δx in centimeters?
