"To every action, there is equal and opposite reaction."

A force acting on a body is always the result of its interaction with another body, so forces always come in pairs.These two forces act on two different bodies and they act at the same instant of time.

Practical Application of Newton's Third Law:

Recoiling of a gun: When a bullet is fired from a gun, it exerts a forward force on the bullet and the bullet exerts an equal and opposite force on the gun.Walking on the ground: When we walk on the ground, our foot pushes the ground backward and in return the ground pushes our foot forward.Rowing of a boat: The boatman during the rowing of a boat pushes the water backwards with oars and the water exerts an equal and opposite push on the boat which moves it forward.
