1) Students are comparing mineral samples, and they are stumped. Eli suggested they calculate the density of the mineral since it is a property unique to any pure substance. To calculate density the students had to record two important measurements. First they used the balance to measure the mass of the mineral. What was the purpose of the graduated cylinder?
A) They used water displacement to find the volume of the mineral sample.
B) They used water displacement to calculate the weight of the mineral sample.
C) The students wanted to see if the mineral would float. That helps them figure density.
D) Because they could not measure the sample with a ruler, they had to find the mass using water displacement.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!
