When thinking about an electric circuit, you usually focus not on the motion of individual charges, but rather on the continuous current (charge per unit time) flowing through the circuit. Thus, rather than considering the work done on a particular charge, it is useful to compute the work done per unit time on the charge flowing through the circuit, or in other words, the power. Find the electrical power P delivered to the resistor via the work done on the individual charges passing through it. (Again, this power ultimately appears in the form of heat).

An engineer designs a roller coaster so that a car travels horizontally for 152 ft, then climbs 137 ft at an angle of 34.0° above the horizontal. it then moves 137 ft at an angle of 48.0° below the horizontal. if we take the initial horizontal motion of the car to be along the +x-axis, what is the car's displacement? (give the magnitude of your answer, in ft, to at least four significant figures and give the direction of your answer in degrees counterclockwise from the +x-axis.)

The pressure increases by 1.0 x 104 n/m^2 for every meter of depth beneath the surface of the ocean. at what depth does the volume of a pyrex (bulk modulus 2.6 x 1010n/m^2) glass cube, 9.8 x 10^−2m on an edge at the ocean's surface, decrease by 7.5 x 10−10m^3? explain the formula beyond this point: p=1.0x10^4, b=2.6x10^10, l=9.8x10^−2, delta v=7.5x10^−10. at some point l needs to be cubed. why p is divided by delta v?

James is trying to prove newton's 2nd law of motion. he tries to move four different objects with different masses, shapes, and sizes from point a to point b. the objects are a toy car, a car, a refrigerator, and a kitchen table. after some experimentation, he finds that force is dependent on the mass of the object, rather than it's size or shape. the object that takes the most force to move is the
