A. Write an equation to find the density of an ideal gas given the Temperature, Pressure and molar mass of the gas.
b. Find the density of helium gas (4.00 g/mol) at 1.10 atm and 300 K.
c. Find the density of air (approximately 29.0 g/mol) at 1.00 atm and 300 K.
d. A spherical rubber balloon of mass 3.00 g is inflated with helium until it has a radius of 15.0 cm. The helium inside has a pressure of 1.10 atm and a temperature of 300 K. Find the buoyant force on the helium filled balloon due to the surrounding air (which is as described in part c).
e. If the balloon is tethered to the ground by a string of negligible mass and length 1.00 m, find the period of oscillation when pushed slightly to one side. Treat the rubber balloon as a thin spherical shell and the gas inside as a sphere for purposes of finding the inertia.
