The Law of Reflection. A student makes the following three claims about the law of reflection:

1. Whenever a light ray strikes a surface, it will always reflect away perpendicular to the surface.

2. A light ray will always reflect away from a surface at an angle equal to the angle at which it struck the surface.

3. A light ray traveling perpendicular to a surface will always scatter away at different angles when it reflects from the surface.
