Three identical circular pucks are on a frictionless surface. They each have a mass of 1 kg and have radii of 10 cm. Two of the pucks are positioned right next to each other with their edges touching. The third mass is moving at a velocity of 10 m/s and is a collision course with the other two. The trajectory of the third mass is directly in between the other two masses, so that when the collision happens, the third mass makes contact with the other two simultaneously (it touch both masses at the same time). If the collision is completely elastic, what are the new velocities for all masses after the collision? (hint: the direction of the velocities for masses #1 and #2 will be in the direction of the normal forces in the collision that are applied to them.)
