Two sisters, Anna and Bailey, are going to have a timed 10 second running race. Anna is always quick out of the blocks but loses steam toward the end. Bailey starts slowly and continues her acceleration through the entire race. Anna's velocity is given as:
VA(t) = 10t - t^2 ft/s
and Bailey's velocity is given by
VB(t) = 4t ft/s
(a) Graph the two velocity functions on the same axis and calculate where the two functions intersect.
(b) From the graph, can you determine the time at which Anna has his largest lead?
