Take a small little man of some sort, army guy maybe and make a parachute for him. toss him off a balcony or roof or similar. collect data using physics tracker or other such program. decide whether the drag is most like cv^2 or cv. fit a model to it solve the equations by hand. how well do they match up? what is the drag coefficient? how long will he fall before he hits 95% of terminal velocity? what is his terminal velocity?
used the tracker and found the final velocity to be 5.84 m/s and lands 2.44 meters down.
the problem i am having is that i'm not sure how to find the drag coefficient and then how to start the system of equations to solve. it weighs 72.7 grams.

The car hoist allows the car to be driven onto the platform, after which the rear wheels are raised. if the loading from both rear wheels is 1380 lb, determine the force in the hydraulic cylinder ab. neglect the weight of the platform itself. member bcd is a right-angle bell crank pinned to the ramp at c. the force is positive if in tension, negative if in compression.

Suppose that f : rn → rm and that a ∈ k, where k is a connected subset of rn . suppose further that for each x ∈ k there exists a δx > 0 such that f(x) = f(y) for all y ∈ bδx (x). prove that f is constant on k; that is, f(x) = f(a) for all x ∈ k
