Why does the moon not have an atmosphere?

The moon does not have an atmosphere hence it has no magnetic field and is too small to have an atmosphere. Another reason why is because the moon has a weak gravitational field. Gravity helps the moon hold on to its atmosphere, the moon is small leaving no atmosphere on the moon.

This is all in my own words you can research as hard as you want you should not find anything that is the exact same thing as what i have written unless it is on on this question.
