Maxwell equations not only unified electricity and magnetism, they also unified optics into electromagnetism. it is interesting to see if we can get the laws of reflection and the refraction, the later often referred to as snell’s law, using maxwell equations and boundary conditions.
q.1: starting from maxwell equations and proper boundary conditions, derive these laws of optics, and give a short comment on the importance of your derivation.
