Energy can transform between different types. for each of the following examples, identify two energy transformations and the types of energy involved in the transformations: cannonball fired upward from a cannon diver jumping from a spring board squirrel jumping from a tree and landing on the net of a trampoline

1. Cannonball fired upward from a cannon

here in this cannon we can say kinetic energy is converted into potential energy of the cannon.

here this is because when cannon ball is shot with some speed its kinetic energy is converted into potential energy at the top point of its path

2. Diver jumping from a spring board

when diver is jumping on spring board then spring potential energy is converted into kinetic energy of the diver.

here when spring is compressed the energy in it is in the form of spring potential energy while at the other form it is converted into kinetic energy of the diver when he jump off.

3. Squirrel jumping from a tree and landing on the net of a trampoline.

When squirrel is jumping from tree and landing on the net trampoline the gravitational potential energy of the squirrel will transform into the kinetic energy of squirrel and then it is transformed into the potential energy of the net trampoline.
