All electromagnetic waves carry energy. The ability to capture the energy of a passing electromagnetic wave and use it for something only depends on having a suitable technology.

Starting from the lowest frequencies/greatest wavelengths . . .

Radio waves . . . used in some medical applications to generate heat energy inside the muscles or organs of the body.

Microwaves . . . used to generate heat energy inside leftover meatloaf and chicken.

Infrared waves . . . used to warm up cold people; also to keep food warm in a restaurant until the waitress picks it up and carries it to your table.

Light waves . . . usually, but not always, available only at low power levels; used to persuade LASERs to lase; the same waves come out of LASERs at higher power levels, and their power is often used to cut metal.

Infrared, visible, and ultraviolet waves . . . Solar cells are a handy technology used to drain a significant fraction of the energy these waves carry, and convert it to electrical energy, which can then be used to do anything we can do with electricity.

X-rays, Gamma rays . . . These waves also carry a lot of energy, but we don't have ways to capture it yet, and use it to do stuff with.
