You know there are 60 mins in an hour.  

Simple math: 2:35 pm is written as 2 hrs 35 mins
       
    2 hrs  35 mins
+ 1 hr    45 min
  3 hrs  80 mins    convert 80 mins into 1 hr 20 mins for a total of
  
   4 hrs 20 mins or 4:20 pm
