2x^2-x+3 explain how you factor this. i keep getting (2x - 3) (x + 1) and i'm not sure why i know the answer is (2x + 3) (x - 1) but i need to know what i did wrong

Did you copy the question wrongly? Should it be  or ? Because both answer (your answer and the textbook answer) did not give -3.

So if the original question is then your answer is correct and the textbook answer is wrong.

The first one, i believe, would be correct. all the others have one thing in common, and that's that they have repeating numbers. in the second one, x and y have repeating 6's and 3's, and in the third, x and y have repeating 6's as well. in the last one, there are repeating 3's. the first one has no repeating numbers.
