In the math packet it say compare 36-(3+6)and 36-3+6 and it say how do parentheses in an equation affect the answer?

If we have parentheses you should solve the parentheses first like:
36 - ( 3+6 ) = 36 - 9 =27 
but if you dont have parentheses its like :
36 - 3 + 6 = 33 +6 = 39 !!
