Someone explain where does 2/3x and 1/6 come from

4x + 1 = 6y

4x/6 + 1/6 = 6y/6

2x/3 + 1/6 = y.

4/6 is the same as 2/3 in lowest terms.

Ithink you're supposed to multiply 12.50 which is how much he makes per hour and then multiply it by each number then add whats left togrther and there's your answer
