Mason asks his friends at school to do his questionnaire. this may not be a good sample to use

Because his friends are not representative. If he would want to receive information about his friends, then this would be a good sample, however, considering that Mason probably wants data that are more representative, it would be better for him to gather info from his school or even wider. This would help him get better data for what he wanted to find information about :)
