I'm assuming you are multiplying so, 3 to the third power. 
3x3x3=27
3 to the third power is 3 multiplied 3 times

You can find the area of a rectangle by multiplying the length and height. so multiply 1/2*7/4(which is the simpler version of 1 3/4) and you get 7/8 as your answer.

7p=14 so then you would divide by p=2
