VERY IMPORTANT AND NEED ANSWER NOW. Your friend Eva knows that you have been working on your own finances lately and she is now facing a financial situation of her own. She has come to the conclusion that her only option to fix the financial situation is to pay the debt by using a credit card. Eva's emergency is going to cost $2,500. Eva would like to pay off the debt within a year's time and her current credit score is 715. The problem is she doesn't know anything about credit cards, their ultimate cost, or the monthly payments she may be facing. It's up to you to help guide Eva in making a wise choice and show her all of the options she truly has.

By the end of this forum activity you will be able to say:

I can evaluate credit card features.

You are allowed only one completed attempt for this lesson. This activity will count for 15% of your grade in this unit.

Directions:

Take a look at a few things to consider before How To Choose the Best Credit Card (opens in a new window). Then, visit Credit Karma's Credit Card Review (opens in a new window) to analyze several different credit card choices. Your analysis and evaluation of the credit cards should include at least the following topics:

APR (Annual Percentage Rate)

Credit Limit

Penalties and Fees

Any Incentives

One way you might want to use Credit Karma is to search by the "average household income" filter. Eva's yearly income is about $30,000 or about $2,500 monthly.

Once you have settled on the credit card that you think is best for Eva, you will need to post the name of the credit card you have chosen and at least 2 reasons why you chose this particular card for her situation.

After reviewing your classmates’ responses, respond to at least one other person’s credit card choice with whether you agree with them or if you disagree about their choice for Eva. Explain why you think their choice is a good one or a bad one.
