The Smiths have a swimming pool that holds 14,040 gallons of water. It takes a hose with a flow rate of 18 gallons per minute 13 hours to fill the pool. Mr. Smith checked on the pool when he expected it to be half full but found that it was only full. He found a leak near the bottom of the pool that had been leaking from the very beginning. At what rate was the water leaking from the pool? Use a diagram to help explain.
