This week a group of ‘p’ people won a total of £400 on the National Lottery.
a) Write down, in terms of p, how much each person should receive,
assuming each person gets an equal share.
Last week there were (p + 2) people in the group.
If the prize had been won last week, each person would have received
£10 less.
b) Show that p2 + 2p – 80 = 0
c) Calculate the amount of money given to each person in the group this
week.
I need help I didn't understand how to solve it
thanks
