Activity 1 - Biased Coin: You have a biased coin that will come up Heads 60% of the time
and Tails only 40% of the time.
Compute the probability of the following events occurring.
1. The probability of flipping twice and getting HT.
2. The probability of flipping the coin three times and getting HTH
3. You plan on flipping the coin three times. After the first flip you get a Heads. What is the
probability that the second flip will be Heads and the third Tails?
4. You plan on flipping the coin three times. After the first flip you get a Heads. What is the
probability that you get at least one more Head in your next two flips?
5. You plan on flipping the coin five times. What is the probability that you get at least one
Tail? Hint: Try using the Complement Rule.

Which of the statements about the graph of the function y = 2x are true? check all of the boxes that apply. the domain is all real numbers x because the exponent of 2 can be any real number when the x-values increases by 1 unit, the y-value multiplies by 2. the y-intercept is (0, 1). the graph never goes below the x-axis because powers of 2 are never negative. the range is all real numbers.
