Elliot is the principal of a local high school. He is raising money for classroom supplies. He places jars in the cafeteria to collect change (only change) for 1 week. If
the students place over $200 in change in the jars during the week, he will get a pie in
his face at the pep club assembly. On Monday, students can only put pennies in the
jar. On Tuesday, students can only put nickels in the jar. On Wednesday, students can
only put dimes in the jar. On Thursday, students can only put quarters in the jar. On
Friday, the total collection will be announced. If Elliot puts a gallon jar in the cafeteria
each day and the jar is filled at the end of lunch each day, will the students have
collected enough??
