When talking about launching a watermelon, what heights make sense to talk about?

Can the watermelon be 10 feet in the air?  Sure.

Can the watermelon be on the ground (height = 0 ft)?  Sure.

Can the watermelon be 10 feet below the ground? Eh... not really.

So in context, the only heights that make sense are when the watermelon is on the ground or in the air. That's the highlighted part of the graph below.

So what is the domain of just that highlighted portion?

To answer the second question, remember that the watermelon being on the ground is the same as it's height being 0 ft, or h=0. That's the same thing as the x-axis. So when does the watermelon hit the ground? When the graph hits the x-axis.
