Is y = 3 a possible solution to the following system of equations? Explain why or why not.
X + 2y + z = 28
3x + 3z = 60
O y = 3 is not possible because when 3 is submitted in for y in the first equation the value for x + z is not 20.
O y = 3 is possible because when 3 is substituted in for y in the first equation the value for x + 2 times 3 is 60.
Oy - 3 is possible because there is no y term in the second equation so y can be any value.
Oy - 3 is not possible because there is no y term in the second equation making it a no solution situation
