3. Archie is playing hide-and-seek with Valerie and Anya. Valerie is hiding 60 feet south of Archie and Anya is hiding due west of Valerie. If Archie is 100 feet from Anya, how far apart are Valerie and Anya?

4. Suppose a 13-foot ladder is leaning against a building, reaching to the bottom of a second-floor window 12 feet above the ground. How far is the base of the ladder from the building? Round your answer to the nearest tenth.

5. Ruiz and Pete have a window washing business. Pete washes the windows while Ruiz holds the ladder. The ladder reaches a window that is 15 feet off the ground and the base of the ladder is 8 feet from the building? How long is Ruiz and Pete's ladder?
