11. A playground is in the shape of a quadrilateral ABCD. It is given that AB = 90 m,
AD = 70 m, LBAD = 115°, LABC= 80° and ZADC = 85⁰.
(a) Using a scale of 1 cm to represent 10 m,
(i) make an accurate scale drawing of the playground.
(ii) Can ABCD be a cyclic quadrilateral? Give reason for your answer.
b) On your diagram, construct
(i) the locus which represents points 50 m from B.
(ii) the locus which represents points equidistant from C and D.

(iii) A merry-go-round inside the playground is 50 m from B and equidistant from C and D. Label with the letter M, the point representing the position of the merry-go
round.
(iv) Measure the length of AM. What is the actual distance of the merry-go-round
from the corner A?

(c) On your diagram construct and mark clearly with the letter J, the point representing the position of a jungle gym inside the playground which is 50 m from B
and is such that ZAJB = 90°.

(d) The position of a point S which represents a swimming pool inside the playground ABCD, is such that CSDS, BS≥ AS and ZASB < 90°. Indicate clearly, by shading
the region in which the swimming pool, S must lie.
