UIF is calculated at 1% of the gross salary. The maximum Income

(ceiling amount)
The Employer must pay the 1% UIF deduction from of the Employee
as well as his contribution (also equal to 1%) over to the receiver of
revenue
Mr Arendse makes a monthly Pension fund contribution of 7,5% which
is deducted from his basic salary.
