Use the diagram to answer the following question. If AB=3x-2 and EF=x+1, find AB. Triangle is inside of another triangle with midpoints. Answer is 10. Show steps: 2(3x-2) = 1/2( x+1)2
6x-4 = x+1
-x +4 = -x+4
5x = 5
x = 1
Check: 3(1) - 2 = 1 Should be: 3(4) - 2 = 10
Where is my mistake?
