In the Pick 3 game, a player selects three numbers. A Fireball straight bet wins if the player matches two of the three drawn numbers and the Fireball number. The Fireball number replaces either the first
drawn number, the second drawn number, or the third drawn number. For example, if the three drawn
numbers are 185 and the Fireball number is 3, winning numbers would be 385, 135, and 183.
In other words, 3 of the 1,000 possible Pick 3 numbers would be winners, and thus, the probability of
winning is 0.003
A winning bet of $0.50 pays out $91.50, for a net gain to the player of $91.00.
