Twice the square of half of a number is x. what is the number? i know twice the square is 2x^2 but i'm not sure about the half. also the answer is sqrt2x

So if the number is n then

2 times square of 1/2 of n=x
2 times square of n/2=x
2 times (n/2)²=x
2 times (n²)/4=x
(n²)/2=x
if solving for the number
times 2 both sides
n²=2n
sqrt both sides
