to make it more manageable, mutiply by 4
9 nuts is to 2 fuge
nuts:fuge

so
if you are given x amound of fuge, solve for y amount of nuts
for every 2 nuts, 9 fuge
for every 1 nuts 4 1/2 fuge
so
x times 4 1/2=fuge
4.5x=y

since you want to use i as the placeholder,
4.5i=nuts
note:4.5i means 4.5 times i
