make his children angry with each other is to give the older child more than the
younger child. But how much more? He decides to divide his fortune so that the
ratio of the older child's inheritance to the king's fortune is the same as the ratio
of the younger child's inheritance to the older child's inheritance. How much does
each child get?

sum of the previous two numbers:
0,1.1, 2, 3, 5, 8.
(a) What are the next three numbers in the sequence?
(b) Using the sequence you extended in parte, calculate the ratio of the 10th
number to the 9th number in the sequence.
(c) Use a spreadsheet to calculate the first 50 numbers in the sequence. What is
the ratio of the 50th number to the 49th number?
(d) Make a conjecture about the ratio of the Nth Fibonacci number to the
(N-1)th Fibonacci number, when the value of N is high.
