What does the discriminant determine?

The discriminant is the part of the quadratic formula underneath the square root symbol: b²-4ac. The discriminant tells us whether there are two solutions, one solution, or no solutions.

It determines if the solution is equal, less than , or more than zero so if it’s equal you only have one solution but if it’s less than so it’s an imaginary graph that doesn’t have solution or more than means it has more than a solution
