Please answer this one question from the problem below. Perform the analysis on this data and comment on whether the measurement system is capable of holding the tolerance and explain how you reached that conclusion. If you can't/don't want to solve this problem then please leave it for someone who will. If you have any questions, please comment below. It is recommended to use MiniTab (otherwise use excel). I will make sure to give a thumbs up! Here's the following problem:
A manufacturer of plastic caps has a specification for the outside diameter of the caps to be 45.000 +/- 4 mm. Lately there have been customer complaints that some of the caps are too small. The manufacturer wants to know whether his measurement system is adequate to make the needed measurements in production. A gage repeatability and reproducibility study took 10 parts and had the 3 operators who usually make the measurements measure each part once per day for 3 different days (See below). These are the only 10 parts available right now, they do not necessarily represent the entire specification range, but since there is a tolerance, the quality engineer is interested to see if the variation of the measurement system is capable of meeting the tolerance. Perform the analysis on this data and comment on whether the measurement system is capable of holding the tolerance and why you reached that conclusion.
